eLift

Mission to Zero-Emission

Since the delivery of the first eLift crane in 2020, Spierings has been setting the standard for sustainable lifting. The first battery-powered solution on a mobile tower crane enables electric operation during daily operations. Since the launch of the eLift, Spierings has produced more than hundreds of cranes with the PowerPack® technology.

Sustainable lifting
goes further with the eLift

The emission-free eLift system has an electric mode and a hybrid mode. Both have an efficient first-line energy source; the operator can choose between working on electricity or diesel. The PowerPack® battery technology captures peaks in energy consumption and recharges when the crane’s energy demand is low. With electric mode, you operate the crane 100% emission-free at low noise levels, without any limitations in use and capacity.

Mission to Zero-Emission

Unlimited electric lifting

To operate the tap in electric mode, you can connect it to a mains connection. The system can be operated between 16A and 32A. You set this in advance on the display, leaving energy for other equipment on site. The surplus energy from the mains connection is used to charge the battery of the PowerPack® to absorb peak power.

In hybrid mode, a small 55 kW 3-cylinder diesel engine with the latest Stage V emissions certification is the main energy source. Again, we use the excess energy to charge the PowerPack® battery to capture peak power at . When the battery is low, the generator automatically starts charging the battery. The automatic start/stop system reduces fuel consumption to less than 2 litres per hour (compared to 7 litres per hour with a conventional crane). By sharing 40% electric mode and 60% hybrid mode, the new eLift 2.0 saves up to 85% fuel. That amounts to a reduction of 200,000+ kg of CO2 and offsets 10,000+ trees within 10 years.
