We are pleased to welcome Marc Meijs to Spierings Mobile Cranes as our new Technical Director. His start at Spierings followed an adventurous journey through Nepal, where he spent time trail running, among other things — an inspiring way to recharge for a new challenge.

Extensive experience in automotive engineering

Marc brings more than ten years of experience from the automotive sector, where he held various technical and leadership roles. As a systems engineer, he worked on complex systems combining hardware and software, including in the development of self-driving vehicles. In this role, he developed a sharp understanding of customer needs and translated them into internal concepts, with a strong focus on safety, scalability and cost efficiency.

Marc later grew into the role of chief engineer, further developing his skills in project management, process optimisation and team leadership. After that, he worked as a freelancer, supporting both start-ups and established automotive companies in systems & safety engineering and process improvement.

Most recently, Marc worked as head of R&D for off-highway battery systems, where he led a multidisciplinary team of experts in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanics, software, testing and project management.

A forward-looking vision for Spierings

With his broad technical background and experience in innovation-driven environments, Marc brings a fresh and future-oriented vision to Spierings. His ambition is clear:
“To get the maximum performance out of our cranes through smart innovations, with quality and sustainability as the highest priority.”

We look forward to building the future together with Marc. Lifting to the max, together!
