Finnish crane rental company J. Helaakoski has ordered two Spierings SK1265-AT6 eLift mobile tower cranes, marking an important step in the growing cooperation between the two family-owned companies. The investment reflects the increasing demand for efficient and sustainable lifting solutions in Finland.

Following a successful experience operating a Spierings SK1265-AT6 on a rental basis, J. Helaakoski decided to invest in two cranes of its own.
The combination of Spierings’ one-man operation concept, rapid setup and innovative battery-powered eLift technology proved particularly valuable in daily operations.

The SK1265-AT6 eLift offers a 60-metre jib, a maximum lifting capacity of 10 tonnes and a maximum tip load of 1.7 tonnes. Its fully self-contained transport concept means all counterweights, jib sections, and outrigger plates travel with the crane, eliminating the need for additional transport. A single operator can drive, erect, and operate the crane, which can be fully set up in just 11 minutes.

Equipped with Spierings’ eLift technology, the crane can perform lifting operations fully electrically using a 16A or 32A grid connection, supported by its integrated battery system. This significantly reduces fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and noise levels.

Strong partnership in Finland

“We are proud that J. Helaakoski has chosen to invest in two new Spierings cranes following their positive experience with our technology,” says Jeroen Kerkhoff, Area Sales Manager for Scandinavia, Belgium and Asia at Spierings Mobile Cranes.
“We see great potential in the Finnish market. Our efficient one-man operation concept, combined with battery-powered eLift technology, is ideally suited to Finnish construction sites.”

Tomi Sulonen, CEO of J. Helaakoski, adds:
“We are excited to take the next step in our cooperation with Spierings. We see significant potential for battery-powered mobile tower cranes in Finland and have experienced the many advantages of the Spierings concept in practice.
As two family-owned companies sharing the same core values, we look forward to building a successful long-term partnership.”

The order marks another step in strengthening Spierings’ presence in the Finnish market and reflects both companies’ commitment to efficient, future-oriented lifting solutions.
