From efficient transport on public roads to maximum lifting performance on the construction site. The Spierings SK1265-AT5 eLift adapts to different lifting operations and site conditions with four crane configurations.

When choosing a mobile tower crane, lifting capacity and reach are not the only factors to consider. Transport weight, available space on the construction site and the required ballast also determine how efficiently a crane can be deployed.

The SK1265-AT5 eLift combines the advantages of a compact 5-axle mobile tower crane with a flexible ballast concept. With four different crane configurations, the crane can be adapted to the job at hand without carrying more weight than necessary.

Why different crane configurations?

Not every lifting operation requires the same lifting capacity. For some jobs, a lighter configuration is sufficient, while other projects require additional ballast to achieve higher lifting performance.

The modular ballast concept of the SK1265-AT5 eLift allows the amount of ballast to be adjusted to the specific requirements. This creates a flexible lifting solution that balances transport weight, mobility and lifting capacity.

Each of the four crane configurations offers its own advantages.

Crane configuration 1 – Public road transport (less than 60 tonnes)

In its transport configuration, the SK1265-AT5 eLift has a total weight of less than 60 tonnes. This makes the crane suitable for efficient transport on public roads while meeting applicable transport regulations.

Thanks to its intelligent axle load distribution, the axle load is limited to approximately 12 tonnes per axle.

Crane configuration 2 – Additional ballast for increased lifting performance (less than 64.6 tonnes)

For lifting operations on the construction site, the AT5 can be equipped with additional ballast. This configuration increases the lifting capacity while maintaining the crane’s compact design and operational flexibility.

The integrated auxiliary crane allows the operator to position the ballast independently, without the need for additional equipment.

Crane configuration 3 – Maximum performance within the 5-axle concept (less than 66.3 tonnes)

In this configuration, additional ballast is installed to achieve maximum lifting performance within the 5-axle concept.

The crane combines high lifting capacity with efficient weight distribution, making it suitable for projects where reach, lifting capacity and mobility are equally important.

Crane configuration 4 – Maximum stability and lifting capacity (less than 69.7 tonnes)

In its fully assembled configuration, the SK1265-AT5 eLift is optimised for maximum stability and lifting performance on site.

Thanks to the modular ballast concept, only the required ballast is used, depending on the lifting operations and conditions on the construction site.

Automatic Ballast Detection System: always the correct load chart

Switching between crane configurations requires accurate coordination between the installed ballast and the available lifting capacity.

That is why the SK1265-AT5 eLift is equipped with the Automatic Ballast Detection System.

This system automatically detects the installed ballast configuration and applies the corresponding load chart. As a result, the crane operator does not need to select the configuration manually.

This reduces the risk of errors and ensures that the crane always operates with the correct load chart for the installed ballast.

Combined with the integrated auxiliary crane, this makes switching between ballast configurations easier, safer and more efficient.

The right crane configuration for every lifting operation

The four crane configurations make the SK1265-AT5 eLift highly versatile. From public road transport with a total weight of less than 60 tonnes to a fully assembled configuration offering maximum stability and lifting capacity.

By using only the ballast required, the crane can be adapted to the specific lifting operations and site conditions.

This allows the SK1265-AT5 eLift to combine mobility, efficiency and powerful lifting performance in one 5-axle mobile tower crane.
