On 17 September, we won the JDL d’Or 2026 at the JDL Expo in Beaune in the new ‘Equipment Electrification’ category. The award recognises our eLift technology, which enables electric lifting across our entire range of mobile tower cranes.

With the new Equipment Electrification category, the JDL d’Or is specifically highlighting innovations in electrification within the lifting and transport sector this year. Receiving the award with eLift in this new category is a great recognition of the development and application of electric lifting over the past few years.

Electric lifting across our entire range

With eLift, we have integrated electric lifting into our mobile tower cranes. Since the introduction of the first eLift crane in 2020, the technology has been further developed and is now available across our entire range.

Thanks to the innovative eLift technology, the crane can perform lifting operations fully electrically whenever a grid connection from 16A is available. When insufficient grid power is available, eLift offers various options to significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions compared with conventional operation.

From innovation to everyday practice

eLift is also becoming increasingly widely used in France. French crane companies such as Mediaco, Foselev, Cochez Groupe, Alsace Levage Manutention (ALM) and HR Levage have chosen Spierings eLift cranes.

This shows that electrification is not just a development for the future. Our eLift technology is already being used today on lifting projects in the French market. Receiving this recognition at the JDL Expo in France makes the award even more special.

Mission to Zero-Emission

The JDL d’Or fits perfectly with the direction we have taken with our Mission to Zero-Emission. Our ambition is clear: to make zero-emission lifting possible in everyday operations, without compromising on performance, flexibility or ease of use. The JDL d’Or 2026 is therefore a great recognition of the innovation behind eLift and of the steps we are taking together with our customers towards a more sustainable lifting industry.
