Oss, May 20, 2026 – Spierings Mobile Cranes has won the King Willem I Award 2026. CEO Koos Spierings received the prestigious entrepreneurial award from Honorary Chair Her Majesty Queen Máxima and Chairman Olaf Sleijpen during the festive finale in Amsterdam.

The victory follows a thorough and intensive process of pitches, company visits and evaluations by an independent professional jury. The jury expressed its appreciation for the way Spierings has been innovating and making the lifting industry more sustainable for many years, with courage, decisiveness and perseverance as the driving forces behind the family business.

What once started with the bold idea of putting a tower crane on wheels has grown into an internationally leading manufacturer of mobile tower cranes. Today, Spierings is the first and still the only manufacturer of electric mobile tower cranes in the world. With innovations such as the eLift technology, Spierings is leading the way globally in zero-emission lifting.

A broad delegation from Spierings attended the award ceremony, including founder and advisor Leo Spierings, Managing Director and Owner Koos Spierings, and colleagues from various departments. Among them were a welder, engineer, IBN assistant mechanic, apprentice service mechanic and assembly mechanic. A deliberate representation of colleagues with diverse backgrounds, expertise and experiences, in which craftsmanship, collaboration and commitment form the foundation of Spierings’ success.

Alongside Spierings, Royal Swinkels and Schuberg Philis were also nominated for the King Willem I Award 2026.
